Quick Tip #4
Check out your local newspapers, whether you purchase one, subscribe to one, or go online, and check out which businesses in your service area have won a business award, such as “Great Places To Work For” and find out whether they offer concierge services to their employees. If not, try to get a consultation to discuss how you can expand upon their greatness that they already provide to their employees and how it can be a win-win situation for everyone.
Quick Tip #3
When leaving a voicemail for a client, vendor, potential client, or anyone for that matter, remember to state your name and phone number at the beginning of the message, your purpose in calling, the best time to reach you, and repeat your name and phone number slowly at the end of the message.
I have received many messages over the years from people who drag on and on with their messages. With my current voicemail service I use, I can’t access any message over 5 minutes. If you have dragged on and on, I may not be able to call you back because I won’t know who called or what number to call back.
Since you do not know the length that a person’s voicemail allows them to have for messages, try and keep your message to one minute and under.
Quick Tip #2
If you are out shopping for several clients at once, use Avery Removable Label Pads in different colors to write the name of the client on it and attach the label to each bag or package. You can then leave the tab on and remove the label for future use, once you have put the bags/packages where they need to go, or you can leave the labels on permanently. The labels come off smoothly so you don’t have to worry about sticky residue or ripping them off, which is good especially if you are temporarily sticking these labels on packages to take to the Post Office so that you remember who has what package at a glance.
Quick Tip #1
We eat out a lot, for personal and business reasons. To remember which restaurants we took which clients to, I request a business card from the restaurant and on the back of it, I note the clients names and the approximate cost of the meal.
This allows us to vary the places we eat with different clients and is also a good reminder when we need a place that will cater to special diets and allergies.
These cards are filed in a business card folder with the information being able to be seen from both sides. Because we have the restaurant’s phone number there, it’s easy to phone ahead for reservations.
